Shipping policy

Delhivery Limited is a company incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956, having its registered office at B-244, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase I, New Delhi – 110020 (“Delhivery”). Delhivery is engaged in the business of e-commerce logistics and provides delivery, reverse pick-up, and other services (“Services”).

The Seller (“Seller”) is using the Services of Delhivery for delivery (“Delivery”) and reverse pick-up (“DTO”) of their packages across various locations in India.


1. Payments & Currency

  • The Seller acknowledges that they are making online payments through Delhivery’s website.

  • The currency of transaction in the Delhivery Miles Account is Delhivery Miles, which can be redeemed only for using Delhivery services.

  • Delhivery reserves the right to issue Promotional Credits to the Seller for any reason it may deem fit. These will appear under the header “Promotional Credit” in the Seller’s Miles Account.

  • The Seller can add cash to the Delhivery Miles Account by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Online Bank Transfer via the Payment Gateway provided.

  • The Seller can also manually hand over a cheque/draft, and the Miles will be credited within 3 working days of realization. In case of a cheque/draft deposit, the credit will appear under the header “Manual Recharge Credit” in the Seller’s Miles Account.


2. Package Information & Delivery Charges

  • The Seller shall upload complete information on the Seller Panel, including but not limited to:

    • Weight of the package

    • Address of pick-up/delivery

    • Nature of contents

  • Once the information is entered, Delhivery software will determine the applicable Delivery Charges, temporarily calculated on a default weight of 1 kg.

  • After actual weight reconciliation, the difference will be refunded or deducted from the Seller’s Miles Account.

  • Once the Seller uploads the complete information and maintains Minimum Balance in their Miles Account, the Delhivery software will accept the package for Delivery and deduct Delivery Charges accordingly.

  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) packages, additional COD Charges shall also be deducted from the Seller’s Miles Account.


3. Non-Delivery & RTO Charges

  • In case of non-delivery, the RTO Charges shall be deducted from the Seller’s Miles Account as soon as the package is sent from the dispatch center for return.

  • Delhivery will undertake the RTO only when the Seller has Minimum Balance in their Wallet.


4. Weight Reconciliation

  • Delhivery shall upload the correct weight of the package within 72 hours from the time the Seller uploads the package details.

  • After reconciliation:

    • If the actual weight is less than 1 kg, a proportional refund will be credited to the Seller’s Miles Account.

    • If the actual weight is more than 1 kg, a proportional deduction will be made from the Seller’s Miles Account.


5. Responsibility & Liability

  • Delhivery shall perform Delivery/RTO solely on the basis of the information provided by the Seller.

  • In no circumstance shall Delhivery be held responsible for delivery to the wrong address or non-delivery due to incorrect information.

  • In such cases, the Seller’s Miles Account shall be debited with the Delivery/Return Charges, and the Seller shall not be entitled to any refund.


6. Charges & Invoicing

  • The total amount deducted shall include:

    • Delivery / Return Charges

    • COD Charges (if applicable)

    • Service Tax

    • Fuel Surcharge

  • Entry Tax and OCTROI shall be generated separately and deducted manually from the Seller’s Miles Account.

  • The Final Invoice shall be generated by Delhivery at the end of each month.

  • All reconciliations and refunds shall be done solely on the basis of the Final Invoice.


7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising herein shall be referred to arbitration before a sole arbitrator appointed by Delhivery, in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The place of arbitration shall be Gurgaon.
